TribeCity Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 3, 2026

TribeCity is a product and service of Influence International, Inc. (“Influence International,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use TribeCity (the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Date of birth (Birthday) (used for age verification, compliance with legal requirements, and to support community features such as profile personalization and member interactions)
  • Profile information (e.g., bio, company, role)
  • Content you post (messages, comments, media)
  • Payment information (processed via third-party providers)

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • IP address
  • Device type, browser, operating system
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, interactions)
  • Log data and performance metrics
  • Push notification identifiers (a device push token, used only to deliver notifications you have enabled; provided through our push service, OneSignal)

1.3 Information from Others

  • Information provided by other users (e.g., invitations, referrals)
  • Third-party integrations (if you connect external services)
  • Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account identifier from Google, in accordance with the permissions you grant on Google’s consent screen. We use this only to create and secure your account.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
  • Personalize your experience
  • Facilitate connections between users
  • Communicate with you (service updates, notifications)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse
  • Improve and develop new features
  • Verify user eligibility and age requirements

We may use analytics, automated systems, and machine learning technologies to improve the Services.

3. Mobile Messaging and Text (SMS)

If you provide a mobile number, we may send you event-related text messages (SMS). This section describes our text messaging program — what we send, how you opt in, how often you hear from us, and how to stop. It applies to every text message we send.

3.1 We Do Not Share Your Mobile Information

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or your SMS/text-messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number and your messaging consent are disclosed only to the messaging provider that delivers our text messages on our behalf (Twilio), and only as needed to send the messages described in this section. That provider processes this information solely for us and is not permitted to use it for its own marketing or promotional purposes.

We also do not buy mobile numbers or opt-in data from third parties, and we do not use text messaging for affiliate marketing, third-party lead generation, or messaging on behalf of any other business.

3.2 What Our Text Messages Contain

Every text message we send is transactional and relates to an event you registered for. These are operational, day-of messages such as:

  • A confirmation when you turn on event texts
  • Registration and RSVP confirmations
  • Event reminders and arrival or logistics details
  • A confirmation when you check in at an event
  • Your table assignment and table-rotation alerts during an event
  • Seat or schedule changes while an event is underway

We do not send marketing, advertising, or promotional text messages. If that ever changes, we will update this Privacy Policy first, and any marketing texts would require their own separate, clearly described opt-in.

3.3 How You Opt In

You opt in through your own affirmative action, by providing your mobile number and checking a box agreeing to receive event text messages. There are two ways this happens:

  • When you register for an event. On the event registration page on our website you enter a mobile number and may tick a separate box agreeing to receive that event’s text messages. The number is required to register; ticking the box is not, and we do not text you unless you do. The checkbox reads: “I agree to receive event text messages (check-in confirmations and table assignments) at the number above. Msg & data rates may apply; msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
  • When we invite you to turn on texts for an event you have already registered for. If we have your email address but no mobile number on file, we may email you a link to a page where you can add your number and agree to that event’s text messages. That page shows the same disclosures next to the same checkbox.

In both cases the checkbox is separate from every other agreement on the page and is never pre-ticked, and the disclosures — the types of messages, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and how to stop — are shown immediately next to it at the moment you agree, together with links to this policy and to our SMS & Text Messaging Terms. We record the date and the source of your agreement.

We do not buy, rent, or otherwise acquire phone numbers from third parties.

If you are an existing member whose mobile number we already hold as part of your membership record, you may already be enrolled to receive these event texts without having ticked one of the boxes above. Reply STOP at any time to stop them.

Members who register for an event while signed in to a TribeCity account are not asked for text-messaging consent as part of that registration. Where you register online as a guest for an event that uses event texting, a mobile number is required to register — the organizer uses it to reach you about the event — but the event-texts checkbox beside it is entirely separate and optional, and is never pre-ticked. Agreeing to receive text messages is never required to register for, pay for, or attend an event, and never required to create an account or use any part of TribeCity. Leave the box unticked and your registration completes exactly as anyone else’s does, we will not text you, and we will check you in and seat you at the door. You can also reply STOP at any time, including immediately after registering — that stops the texts and does not cancel your registration or affect your place at the event. The full terms of the program are set out in our SMS & Text Messaging Terms.

3.4 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. How often you hear from us depends on the events you register for; messages generally arrive around the time of an event you are attending.

3.5 Cost

TribeCity does not charge you for text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Please check with your carrier if you are unsure about your messaging charges.

3.6 How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not text you again unless you opt back in by replying START. After you opt out of texts, you may still receive event information by email, since email is a separate channel.

3.7 How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the information at the bottom of this page. Mobile carriers (such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. How We Share Information

We may share your information:

4.1 With Other Users

  • Profile and content you choose to share
  • Information visible within your network or tribe

4.2 With Service Providers

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the Services:

  • Authentication — Google (Google Sign-In)
  • Push notifications — OneSignal
  • Email delivery — Mandrill (Mailchimp Transactional)
  • Text messaging (SMS) — Twilio
  • Hosting and infrastructure — Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Payment processing, where applicable

These vendors act as our service providers: they may use the information only to perform services for us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Disclosing information to a service provider so it can deliver a message or run the Services on our behalf is not a sale or a sharing of that information for marketing.

4.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required to:

  • Comply with law or legal process
  • Enforce our Terms of Use
  • Protect rights, safety, or property

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, sale, or acquisition, your information may be transferred.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information:

  • As long as your account is active
  • As needed to provide Services
  • As required for legal, accounting, or security purposes

We may retain and use anonymized data indefinitely.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request data portability

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

6.1 Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account and its associated personal data at any time. To request deletion, email us at info@tribalry.com from your registered email address (you may also deactivate your account from your Account settings). Once we verify your request, we permanently delete your profile, the content you posted, and your Google Sign-In association, typically within 30 days. We may retain a limited amount of information where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security purposes, and we may keep anonymized data that no longer identifies you.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain sessions
  • Analyze usage
  • Improve performance

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services linked to or integrated with TribeCity.

9.1 Google User Data

TribeCity’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through Google Sign-In is used only to provide and secure the account features described in this policy, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International Users

Your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where data protection laws may differ from your location.

12. Changes to This Policy
